Terms of Service
Last updated · June 25, 2026
These terms are a contract between you and TheLifeOS. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use TheLifeOS.
1. Who we are & eligibility
"TheLifeOS", "we", "us" refers to the operator of the TheLifeOS app and the website at thelifeos.org. You must be at least 16 years old to use TheLifeOS. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
2. Your account
You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You may sign in with an email and password, a one-time email code, or Google. One person may not maintain more than one free identity to evade limits or billing.
3. Your content
Everything you log in TheLifeOS — check-ins, habits, goals, wins, journal entries, workouts, money notes and the like — is yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, back up, sync, and display it back to you so the service works. We don't claim ownership of your content, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI models. You're responsible for the content you create and confirm you have the right to store it.
4. Plans & billing
- TheLifeOS is a paid product. Pro is $15/month and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Lifetime is a single $300 payment for ongoing access — no recurring charge.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods; we'll give notice of changes that affect an active subscription. Applicable taxes may be added.
- You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation stops future renewals — access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't charge you again after that.
- Referral credits and discounts are applied as described on our pricing and referral pages, are not transferable, and have no cash value.
5. Cancellations & refunds
TheLifeOS gives you immediate access to digital content and services. By purchasing and accessing the app straight away, you ask us to begin immediately and you acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel for digital content once access begins (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
Because of this, all payments are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law. You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the billing portal in Settings to stop future renewals — your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we won't charge you again after that. Cancelling does not refund the current period.
This does not remove the legal rights you have as a consumer — for example, if the service is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights using TheLifeOS;
- disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems;
- resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the service without our written permission;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or violates someone else's privacy or intellectual property.
7. Our intellectual property
The TheLifeOS software, design, branding, and content (other than your own data) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal use while these terms are in effect. No other rights are granted.
8. Third-party services
TheLifeOS relies on third parties — including Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts, database, sync), Resend (email), Meta (advertising measurement), and our hosting provider. Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we're not responsible for third-party services we don't control.
9. Availability & changes
We work to keep TheLifeOS available and reliable, but it's provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. Because TheLifeOS is local-first, your data remains on your device even during interruptions.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. TheLifeOS is a personal tracking and productivity tool — it is not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheLifeOS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TheLifeOS harmless from claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms or the law.
13. Termination
You can stop using TheLifeOS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law, or where required to protect the service or other users. On termination, the licences granted here end; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. content ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue.
14. Governing law & disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales — except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally. We'll always try to resolve issues informally first, so please email us before filing anything.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
16. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are the entire agreement between us about the service. You may not assign them without our consent; we may assign them to a successor (e.g. in a merger). Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
17. Contact

This is a good-faith, plain-language agreement, not bespoke legal advice. For a regulated business or at scale, have counsel review it.
